Visitors of 2005 in LukaniThey visited Lukani primary school,Nsongoro primary school,Local market and community centre.  While in community centre they contributed some Japanese books to community Library. Although books were written in Japanese, They translated in English and Swahili. One member mama is a writer so presented a book written in Swahili she wrote while living in D.R.C.(Congo).The pupils of Kindergarden enjoyed very much when mama taught them to create a song by just looking on a picture of an image, It was very intersting for so children sang together with visitors. Among the visitors of last summer in Lukani village, Professor TSUJIMURA who come together with A.T.members brought to the community seven hundred US dollars in order to prepare coffee nurseries, and three hundred US dollars in order to prepare furniture for the kinder garden at the community center school. All the money were contributed by Lukani Fair Trade Project in Japan. The villagers thank all members of Lukani Fair Trade Project in Japan for their contributions. Again they invited the Fair Trade Project members from Japan to visit Lukani,in order to see how the villagers succeeded trough this project by themselves. Professor TSUJIMURA advised $700 to be used to prepare coffee nurseries. So that the farmers can get new type of coffee which is capable of resisting many diseases. Now the seedling project was already started with 600 coffee seedlings,they had promised to get more later. Also Mr.IWATA visited this village he enjoyed village life. Mr.IWATA works with Saito Coffee in Nagoya Japan intends to buy coffee direct from Lukani to Japan. The people of Lukani were very happy when they learn that it was possible to sell their coffee direct to the comsumers in Japan by the system of known as Fair Trade. Mr.IWATA intends to import one container of 20 tonnes of high class coffee from Lukani Lossa Cooperative Society. If this system continues, it will assist many coffee growners in Lukani. As the coffee farmer had already given up to plant coffee. (1/1/2006) 去年ルカニ村には日本からたくさんのお客さんがやって来ました。ATツアー2005の中の何人かはルカニ村の私の家に滞在しました。彼女たちは村人たちと交流を持って、とても楽しい時間をすごしました。 ルカニ小学校やンソンゴロ小学校、市場やコミュニティセンターなどを訪れ、コミュニティセンターの図書館に日本の本を寄付してくれました。日本語の本でしたが、英語やスワヒリ語に翻訳して持ってきてくれたのです。 メンバーの一人の女性は作家で、彼女がコンゴに住んでいる時に書いたスワヒリ語の本をプレゼントしてくれました。幼稚園児たちは絵を見てそのイメージから歌を作る方法を教わりました。とても楽しそうに日本からのお客さんたちと一緒に歌っていました。 去年の夏の訪問者の一人でありATのメンバーと一緒にルカニ村を訪れた辻村先生は、700米ドルをコーヒーの苗木の準備のために、そして300米ドルをコミュニティセンターの中にある幼稚園の備品のために持ってきてくれました。このお金はすべて日本のルカニフェアトレードプロジェクトからの寄付です。 村人たちはルカニフェアトレードプロジェクトの全ての皆さんに感謝しています。また、どんなにこのプロジェクトが成功しているか実際にを見てもらうために、ルカニフェアトレードプロジェクトの皆さんに村に来ていただいています。 辻村先生は700米ドルをコーヒーの苗木の準備のために使うといいというアドバイスをくれました。そうすれば農民たちは多くの病気に耐性のある新しい種類のコーヒーを手に入れることができます。現在この苗木プロジェクトは600のコーヒー苗木でスタートしました。農民たちは後にもっと増やすと言っています。 また、岩田氏も村での生活を楽しみました。彼は名古屋の齊藤コーヒー株式会社で仕事をしています。日本へのコーヒーをルカニ村から直接買おうとしています。ルカニ村の人びとはフェアトレードというシステムで日本の消費者に直接コーヒーを売ることができると とても喜んでいます。岩田氏はルカニロッサ協同組合から20トンの高品質のコーヒーをコンテナで輸入しようとしています。 もしこれがうまくいけば、ルカニ村のたくさんのコーヒー生産者が助かることでしょう。すでにコーヒーの樹を植えることをやめてしまったのコーヒー農民がいるとしても。 (2006年1月1日) |
