Lukani up date・2008・No.2The village has completed 3 classrooms for Lukani Secondary Schools. This shall enable the students who joined the school this year to be accommodated all in the school. Since other students who were form one are now in form two. But next year 2009, we need more classes for form three students. Through PADEP donation of 50 million, the village join the contribute another 30 millions, this contribution included material, and labour costs, they completed three class rooms. (2) ABOUT WATER STREAM The project had temporally stopped due to heavy rains inside the forest where the river originates. But the work is to continue after those rains. The project expected to complete end of this year. (3) ABOUT COFFEE (a) Villagers had given a new coffee seeds from TACRI which was distributed to farmer free of charge. But since demand id very high, they could not be able to get enough seeds forcing others to go and buy themselves. (b) The village authority had sign a contract with ATJ of JAPAN to supply 150 bag of coffee. The coffee had just shipped to Japan this June 2008 though Lukani Losaa corporative society. Unfortunately, we regret to lost our village executive secretary. Mr. Godluck Mununo, the first LUDEA secretary (Lukani Development Association) Mr. Frank Elinewinga they passed away in June 2008. So far, the village expect good harvest of coffee and maize this year. (25/7/2008) (1)中学校 村ではルカニ中学校の3教室が完成した。これによって今年入学した生徒たち全員が学校に通学できることになった。そして昨年1年生だった生徒は、2年生となった。しかし来年、2009年には3年生のためにもっと教室が必要となる。 PADPからの5,000万の寄付金によって、村ではもう3,000万の寄付金をあわせ、材料や労賃に当て、3つの教室を作り上げた。 (2)水路プロジェクト このプロジェクトは川の源流のある森に激しい雨が降ったため、一時的に中断している。作業はこの雨が終わった後に続けることになっている。このプロジェクトは今年中に終わるだろう。 (3)コーヒー (a)村人たちは、TACARIから無料で新しいコーヒーの種を配布された。しかし、要求が高かったため、十分な量の種を得ることができず、自分で買いに行く者もいる。 (b)村の代表者はATJ（オルタトレードジャパン）に150袋のコーヒー豆を供給する契約書にサインした。コーヒー豆はこの6月にルカニロッサ協同組合から日本に向けて船積みされ出荷した。しかし不幸なことに事故でわたしたちは村の事務局長たちを失ってしまった。彼らは最初のLUDEA（ルカニ開発協会）の秘書であるゴドラック・ムヌノ氏とフランク・エリンウィンガ氏である。とても残念なことに今年の6月に帰らぬ人たちとなってしまったのだ。 今までのところ、村では今年はコーヒーとトウモロコシが豊作になると見ている。 (2008年7月25日) |
